Pedro Nascimento Alves, 29, intern at the Neurology Service of the Santa Maria Hospital and PhD student at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Lisbon, is the winner of the second edition of the prestigious João Lobo Antunes Prize from Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Lisboa. Awards for the best clinical cases of the CAML in 2017/2018

There were seven awards for the presentations of the best clinical cases of the CAML in the 2017/18 academic year. Study of mechanisms involved in memory loss due to ageing may lead to new therapies

Luísa Lopes, lead researcher at the João Lobo Antunes Institute of Molecular Medicine (iMM), coordinated a study published in Molecular Psychiatry about the processes that lead to memory loss associated with ageing. Nutrition and Healthy Eating – Lecture Series

As part of its mission to promote health, and considering the importance of informing the academic community about healthy eating, the second edition of a Lecture Series dedicated to Nutrition and Healthy Eating will be held in 2018, at the University Stadium. The lectures will be given by Dr. Maria Inês Antunes, nutritionist at the ULisboa Medical Centre. The Lecture “The Intestine – probiotics and prebiotics” was held in May.
