The Epidemiology Unit of the Institute of Preventive Medicine seeks to answer it No tagsResearch conducted by the Epidemiology Unit of the Institute of Preventive Medicine of the FMUL intends to know the nutritional status of the Portuguese elderly better. The coordinator of the project is Professor João Gorjão Clara, the lead researcher of the team and coordinator of the Geriatrics Unit of the Northern Lisbon Hospital Centre (CHLN).
The closing seminar of the PEN-3S (Portuguese elderly nutritional status surveillance system) will be held on 21 February between 9:00 and 13:00, at the FMUL, where some of the main results of the study will be presented. The initiative will also have the participation of national and international partners of the project.
The opening session will be hosted by Fausto Pinto, director of FMUL, Alida Endresen, advisor to the Royal Norwegian Embassy, and Sofia Borges Pereira of the ISS, as well as Professor João Gorjão Clara himself, who will be the moderator of the round table discussion on “Malnutrition” that will ensue.
