Professor Maria do Céu Machado passed her Aggregation Exams with distinction
On 31 October, 2013 FMUL News | 2013 Comments Off on Professor Maria do Céu Machado passed her Aggregation Exams with distinction No tagsOn 23 and 24 September, the Clinical Director and Director of the Paediatrics Department of the Northern Lisbon Hospital Centre, Professor Maria do Céu Machado, passed her Aggregation Examinations in the field of Medicine, Paediatrics specialty, by unanimous vote.
These examinations were held at the Aula Magna of FMUL and consisted of two stages. On the first day, the candidate’s curriculum vitae and the pedagogical report she submitted were discussed. In the second and last day, the exams started with a lesson given by the lecturer followed by a discussion with the members of the panel appointed for that purpose. The topic of the candidate’s lesson was “Child and Adolescent Health: from Planning to Intervention”.
The panel was composed by Professors José Carlos Neves da Cunha Areias and José Henriques Dias Pinto de Barros, both of the University of Porto,
João Manuel Videira Amaral and António José Murinello de Sousa Guerreiro, from The New University of Lisbon (Universidade Nova de Lisboa), Henrique João Carmona da Mota, from the Hospitals of the University of Coimbra, and Luís Fernando Pacheco Mendes da Graça, Jorge Manuel de Oliveira Soares and José Manuel Domingos Pereira Miguel, all from the University of Lisbon. At the end of the examinations, the panel, composed of eight full professors, met and unanimously considered the candidate passed. This approval is another step towards consolidating its importance within the Faculty of Medicine and the University of Lisbon.
