1. Introduction
The Internal Evaluation and Quality Assurance Multidisciplinary Team presents FMUL the implementation indicators of the exam marking by optical mark reading. This comparison is based on the data available from the 1st and 2nd exam sittings in semester 1 of the academic years 2010-11 and 2011-12.
2. Implementation indicators 2.1 No. Of Curricular Units that requested the service
¬The number of Curricular Units or Disciplinary Areas requesting the OMR service has increased in the two academic years.
The total number of units requesting the OMR service for the first sitting, did request it again for the 2nd sitting (the 3 requests difference between the 1st and 2nd sittings in 2011-12 refers to extra tests/exams using the OMR).
2.2 No. of answer sheets requested by curricular units and number of sheets submitted for optical reading
¬In the two semesters in the two academic years, there has been an increase in the waste of printed sheets not submitted for optical reading. It must be noted that the level of waste in the 2nd sittings is more pronounced.
2.3 Average delivery time of results to curricular units
¬When users requested the service, they were informed that the delivery of results would not exceed 48 hours.
This goal was largely overcome in 2010-11, and in the academic year 2011-12 there was a significant decrease on the previous academic year (from 27 to 3 hours).
